The last week of school Wade had yet another lead for a job in Utah. He whisked Mae and Owen away from the last day of school, put Jim behind the wheel, and they went up for an interview. The job (of course) came to nothing, but what a great time was had! It totally turned into a great summer vacation (minus Trevor the scholar/swimmer, and Mom the RN). The kids spent some time at Grandpa and Grandma Price's during the interview. Mae had some dream come true time at the minky store. All went hiking and had fun visiting with Paul and Maddie. Jim took care of some unfinished business at BYU (whatever that means?!). Grandpa and Grandma DeMordaunt escorted everyone up to Yellowstone National Park using their Golden Age Pass (way to go, Grandpa!) and another memorable play was enjoyed at the Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone. And so nice that Wade was able to spend Father's Day with his dad in Idaho (grilling some great steak for dinner!). Mae's only regret was not making it to Porter's, but how much can half a family do in a few days?! It was a great trip and worth it all the way (even though it is painfully obvious that we do not get to relocate closer to family in the Intermountain West, sigh).
